How to choose the best gifts for fire pit lovers
Match the gift to how they burn
Start with the fire itself. The Magical Flames color packets are for wood-burning fires only; the listing rules out propane and artificial gas logs, so they suit a wood pit, campfire, bonfire or fireplace and nothing else. The two arc lighters work for fireplaces, grills and outdoor fire-starting tasks regardless of fuel, since they just make the spark. If you are not sure what they burn, a lighter is the safer gift. The packets are pitched for indoor and outdoor wood fires alike, from backyard pits to fireplaces, which makes them handy for someone who burns in both places.
Lighters: neck length and charging
The VEHHE lighter measures 10.39 inches long with a flexible neck for reaching into deep fireplaces and lanterns, while the SUPRUS is a compact 6 inch lighter for pockets and camping kits. Both recharge over USB, the VEHHE through USB-C, and each ships with a charging cable. The VEHHE listing adds one care note: keep the charging head around 20W and store the lighter fully charged. The SUPRUS shows its charge on 4 LED lights on the barrel, so a low battery never surprises anyone mid-trip. For more long-reach options, see our best extra long fireplace lighter picks.
Safety features to look for
Both lighters state a safety lock and automatic power-off, and the SUPRUS adds a 7-second auto stop per ignition plus a child-safety design. The VEHHE pairs its lock with an LED battery display so the charge level is visible before a trip. The color packets carry their own safety line: wood fires only, never propane or gas logs. What is in the box
The VEHHE ships with a charging cable, and the SUPRUS ships with a USB charging cable and a user manual. The Magical Flames order is 50 packets in one pack weighing 14.4 ounces, which the maker pitches as fun for all ages at family nights and camping trips. None of the 3 listings states a warranty term, so keep the receipt if the gift might need one.
